- Oxygen is the enemy of freshly roasted coffee. Because coffee gives off carbon dioxide after it is roasted, adding a degassing valve to your coffee packages allows the carbon dioxide to escape from the pouch without letting oxygen back in. Our degassing valve, paired with our high-barrier films, helps to keep oxygen and moisture out, while sealing in the aroma.
